"Suikoden" is a fantasy RPG inspired by the novel "Water Margins," following the son of a Scarlet Moon Empire general who becomes involved in a rebellion against the Empire. The game features political struggle as its main theme and allows the player to recruit over 100 characters to their cause. Unique to the genre, Suikoden includes a castle building system and turn-based tactical battles.
