Hoplegs
I appreciate the unique control scheme, which made Hoplegs stand out in its promotional videos and material. But overall, it was a frustrating experience, even though I progressed quicker when the controls started feeling more natural and gained more momentum. The repetitive level design, visuals and music become tedious, leaving Hoplegs (sigh) no real leg to stand on.

“Hopping with your legs across well-designed levels with unique mechanics is very fun!”
“The gameplay and the soundtrack were so good, and even though I felt like rage quitting, I couldn't because it's honestly a whole lot of fun and I really enjoyed it!”
“This game is as charming as it is mechanically challenging.”
“Oh but don't worry, the 'locked rotation' option in the gameplay section just takes away all rotation instead of locking the buttons during rotation.”
“All of these combined leads to the gameplay feeling more random instead of skill, so even when you get to the end of a stage the satisfaction is not there.”
