Cubers: Arena
I find it very hard to recommend it to anyone as it has little to offer. It is very repetitive, has a very little amount of progression and the gameplay is not very rewarding.

Reviews
- Engaging gameplay with fun combat mechanics and a surprising amount of depth.
- Enjoyable graphics with vibrant colors and well-modeled items that impact character appearance.
- Strong local couch co-op experience that adds to replayability.
- Combat is shallow and repetitive, with enemies feeling tanky and battles, especially bosses, being slow and frustrating.
- The campaign is short, and the mini-games feel like uninteresting padding, resulting in low replayability.
- Lacks meaningful story and has issues with bugs and inconsistent game mechanics, which detract from the overall experience.
gameplay
7 mentions Positive Neutral NegativeThe gameplay is centered around fast-paced combat with a focus on kiting enemies, evoking nostalgia for classic action RPGs and supported by a user-friendly interface. However, many find it repetitive, with limited progression and boss fights that can feel frustrating due to healing mechanics. Overall, it offers fun moments but can become monotonous over time.
“I do enjoy it, not only because of the beautiful setting and music, and the very fun gameplay that brings me back to when I was hooked on Diablo 2, it also does so many things right with the user interface and the onboarding.”
“Combat is the main focus of gameplay.”
“This is because enemies will swarm you immediately and then the gameplay simply becomes kiting them around and holding the attack button.”
“Enemies swarm you immediately, making the gameplay reduce to kiting them around and holding the attack button.”
“Half of the bosses have a healing mechanic that makes them even more miserable to fight.”
“Combat is the main focus of gameplay but lacks depth due to repetitive mechanics.”
Critic Reviews
Cubers: Arena (Nintendo Switch)
I can say the story of Cubers Arena didn’t really do too much for me. From level to level, the grind of the game left a sour taste in my mouth to where I couldn’t help but wonder what’s the point? Maybe Ballers is happier without his freedom. While the local co-op is a plus, Cubers Arena didn’t have anything else going for it. Playing felt more like a chore than a game.
