- There are several minor bugs and technical issues, such as getting stuck on tiles and inconsistent audio levels.
grinding
8 mentions Positive Neutral NegativePlayers find the grinding aspect of the game to be excessive, particularly if they wish to fully upgrade multiple weapons, as it often feels necessary to focus on just one. While grinding is readily available, many reviewers note that it is not essential for progression, leading to a sense of tedium, especially when combined with confusing enemy attack patterns that detract from the overall experience.
“The game is very grindy; unless you only use one weapon the whole game, you're not going to upgrade it fully at all.”
“Progression is simple, and while grinding is easily available, I have yet to find it necessary.”
“Attack patterns can be confusing and non-repeating in janky ways. For example, there are enemies in the forest that swing extremely fast, so the only way to counter them is to parry before they attack. The problem is that sometimes they will stab instead, landing the hit after your parry is done. There is no way to tell if they will stab or swing, so you are stuck with a 50/50 chance of blocking. Even after you block, you will need to guess once again if they will follow up on that attack or not. There is not much skill involved, and it makes the forest quite tedious and boring to go through.”
