“The theme of the game, the music, and the pixel art is really good.”
“Missing lots of polish such as being able to return to the main menu from a game only qtd, plus you can't skip the annoying intro screen even though you've already read it all, nor can you adjust settings like sound/music or turn off the scanlines effect, which is a huge annoyance.”

The gameplay of Eternum ex is a blend of nostalgic elements, combining the music and aesthetics reminiscent of classic games like Ghosts 'n Goblins with the single-screen platforming style of Mario Bros and the intelligent enemy behavior akin to Pac-Man. While some players find the gameplay dull and frustrating, others praise its perfect controls and engaging arcade experience, making it a must-play for fans of the genre.
“It has the style of Ghosts 'n Goblins in its music, looks, and basic attack mechanics for the player, whilst it has the 'single screen' platform gameplay of Mario Bros, and the enemy behavior of Pac-Man (albeit much more defined and 'smarter').”
“Awesome game, perfect controls, incredible gameplay; a must play for anyone who loves arcade.”
“Except there's no reason to bother doing that because all it does is slow the already dull gameplay down.”

“The monetization strategy feels exploitative, as it seems designed to squeeze every last cent from players rather than provide a fair gaming experience.”
“I was disappointed to find that many features are locked behind paywalls, making it hard to enjoy the game without spending extra money.”
