The game's story is described as intriguing yet flawed, with issues such as a confusing user interface, unskippable loading screens, and bugs that hinder progression. While the concept of a unique backstory for each auto-generated game adds charm, many players feel that the narrative often feels disjointed and lacks depth, leading to a tedious experience. Overall, the story has potential but is marred by randomness and technical issues that detract from the overall enjoyment.
“Ignoring the tedium and bugginess I seemed to face, the story itself was actually interesting.”
“I've played it for a few hours and the story has me coming back for more!”
“A simple-looking indie game that lets you combine two different game genres to create something unique, Supermash manages to have its own little storyline running through the whole process.”
“A really cool idea marred by a really terrible UI and lackluster story.”
“The game is generally a big waste of time as you slowly, laboriously load one mash after another, essentially, arbitrarily grinding your way through a story that goes nowhere.”
“Lastly, and unfortunately the biggest problem for me was the story itself.”

“The gameplay is repetitive and boring after you've tried all the genres.”
