The story in the game revolves around a crash landing on a planet during a colonization mission, providing a basic narrative framework that some players find enjoyable, though not particularly original. While the campaign mode offers a structured storyline with missions, players have noted frustrations with certain gameplay elements, such as unexpected timers in missions. Overall, the story serves as a backdrop to the gameplay, which includes puzzle and sandbox modes, but may not be a standout feature for those seeking a compelling narrative.
“The story is that you crash-landed on a planet on your way to colonize another planet.”
“There is a campaign mode with a storyline and a few missions, several puzzle scenarios, and a custom mode where you can customize a world a little bit - turn off enemies and change resource levels.”
“The basic story mode is fun, and there are also puzzle and sandbox modes to entertain you for plenty of hours.”
“Not exactly the most original idea, but considering story is rarely an expected strong suit of an automation game, that's super easy to overlook.”
“I wrote it off as maybe it's just story shenanigans to keep you moving along, but honestly it just wasn't keeping the charm.”
“The story is that you crash-landed on a planet on your way to colonize some other planet or something.”

The gameplay is praised for its intuitive mechanics and engaging tutorial, which effectively introduce players to unique features like prospecting and resource management, including tree regrowth and crystal cultivation. While the sandbox mode enhances the experience with its expansive map, some players find that constant alien attacks can disrupt gameplay. Overall, the game combines familiar elements from titles like Factorio with refreshing mechanics, making it both fun and challenging.
“The mechanics were easy to learn from the excellent tutorial chapter.”
“A really interesting and fun game, with Factorio-like mechanics, but some of its own which makes it refreshing and challenging.”
“Also, the mechanic of every 'resource consumer' (for example, smelter) having an exit conveyor, allowing the surplus to be used by the next building, is really neat and simplifies a lot of recipes, compared to other similar games.”
“The main source of power is also a mechanic of chopping down trees and slowly waiting for them to regrow by watering them.”
“However, the other modes offer a better gameplay experience, especially the near-infinite map in sandbox mode.”
“The constant alien attacks make the game mechanics unusable.”
