The game's story revolves around a crash landing on a planet during a colonization mission, providing a basic narrative that some players find enjoyable despite its lack of originality. While the campaign mode offers a structured storyline with several missions, players have noted frustrations with certain gameplay mechanics, such as unexpected timers in missions. Overall, the story serves as a backdrop to the gameplay, which includes puzzle and sandbox modes, but may not be compelling enough to stand out in the automation genre.
“The story is that you crash landed on a planet on your way to colonize some other planet.”
“There is a campaign mode with a storyline and a few missions, several puzzle scenarios, and a custom mode where you can customize a world a little bit - turn off enemies and change resource levels.”
“Not exactly the most original idea, but considering story is rarely an expected strong suit of an automation game, that's super easy to overlook.”

“I wrote it off as maybe it's just story shenanigans to keep you moving along, but honestly, it just wasn't keeping the charm.”

The gameplay is characterized by intuitive mechanics that are easy to learn, enhanced by an excellent tutorial. Players appreciate the unique features like prospecting, tree reforestation, and a conveyor system that streamlines resource management, reminiscent of Factorio but with its own refreshing twists. However, some players find that constant alien attacks can disrupt the experience, and while sandbox mode offers a better gameplay experience, there are concerns about the game's long-term viability.
“Mechanics were easy to learn from the excellent tutorial chapter.”
“A really interesting and fun game, with Factorio-like mechanics, but some of its own which makes it refreshing and challenging.”
“Also, the mechanic of every 'resource consumer' (for example, smelter) having an exit conveyor, allowing the surplus to be used by the next building, is really neat and simplifies a lot of recipes, compared to other similar games.”
“However, the other modes offer a better gameplay experience, especially the near-infinite map in sandbox mode.”
“The main source of power is also a mechanic of chopping down trees and slowly waiting for them to regrow by watering them.”
“The constant alien attacks make the game mechanics unusable.”
