  • Fun and challenging dungeon crawler with a charming pixel art style and a great soundtrack.
  • Unique player-generated dungeons via Twitter integration and an innovative level sharing system.
  • Offers multiple play modes including random dungeons and a horde mode with daily challenges and leaderboards.
  • The game heavily relies on Twitter for level sharing, which is currently broken and makes the core feature unusable.
  • Buggy gameplay issues such as auto-transitioning to play without character selection, inability to attack in some runs, and problematic controls including no diagonal shooting.
  • Tedious and slow progression with excessive grinding required and unbalanced classes, leading to a less enjoyable experience compared to similar roguelikes.
  • grinding
    6 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

Grinding in the game is generally seen as excessive and tedious, leading to slow progression that can detract from enjoyment. While the core gameplay works, the need for frequent grinding combined with balance issues in boss battles makes the experience feel repetitive and less impactful. However, fans of the genre might still find it worth trying despite these drawbacks.

    • “Hashtag Dungeon isn't a bad game but it has three big flaws; you can't fire diagonally, it requires excessive grinding, and core gameplay is boring due to a lack of skills.”
    • “It works, doesn't look too bad, and it's more of a twin-stick arena shooter than anything, but it's just tedious and nothing feels impactful.”
    • “The gold progression of the game is tedious and slow as a freemium cellphone game.”

    • “Definitely a game to get if you enjoy RPG pixel graphics games!”
    • “Nice pixel-perfect graphics and excellent sound.”

    • “Plays like The Binding of Isaac but with a different art style.”
    • “The graphics are cute, and there's a bunch of different environments and enemies.”

  • stability
    1 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The game's stability is problematic, with frequent bugs such as rapid menu transitions that prevent character selection, leading to a frustrating and unstable gameplay experience.
