While some felt the variety of tracks was limited, the quality of the music was consistently highlighted as a standout feature, making it enjoyable enough to warrant replaying just to experience the sound again.
“The music is fantastic and original, and the two themes (other than the game over screen music) you'll be hearing most often - the stage and boss theme - are always great to listen to, and I've yet to get bored listening to them both.”
“The soundtrack is extremely good and has the same feel as the legit games, and the boss is really cute and fun.”
“Amazing music and visuals.”
“I spent more time in the menu making music with the sounds than actually playing the god damn game.”
“There are 3 tracks in the game (main menu, stage, and boss soundtracks) and they all heavily feature piano.”
“A good taste of what the Touhou series is all about, except for the music which is pretty bland compared to the main series.”

The gameplay is generally praised for its fluidity, creative bullet patterns, and solid mechanics, making it a good introduction to Touhou-style games. However, it is noted to be quite challenging, with some players struggling to navigate the bullet hell effectively. While the game features only one stage, the visuals, music, and overall design contribute to a compelling experience, despite some technical issues with controls.
“The bullet patterns in this game are very creative, and the movement mechanics are very solid.”
“With a seemingly simple plot and a great soundtrack, you won't really be focused on the story, but mostly on the gameplay, which is very well made and detailed.”
“This game has amazing art, amazing music, and great gameplay.”
“Ok, so first I wasn't sure about giving it a positive review. Don't get me wrong, the game looks stunning; all the visuals, art, effects, and even music are very good. However, I had a couple of problems with this game. First, even though Steam says it has gamepad support, I couldn't make it work, and the default WASD Steam overlay didn't work properly either. It wasn't until a community comment that I knew that Z is for shoot and X is for bomb. So remapping the Steam input and adding Enter and Escape for submit and back buttons made it possible for me to play. But then the gameplay... I'm very used to games like Ikaruga, ESP Galuda, Dodonpachi, etc., but the bullet hell in this game is overwhelming. I couldn't find a proper path to avoid the bullets, and I was going to give a negative review because of that - 'worst level design ever.' Then I watched the community videos... well, the game is not bad; it's just me. I need to get good. I guess I'm never going to get 100% achievements.”
“The gameplay here is just as great; however, sadly rather short, consisting of only one stage.”
“1 stage only and it feels like you are playing an extra stage. Most of the patterns are kind of weird compared to what I have seen, but it's not too hard either, just weird. Sometimes you will see a few patterns that are very RNG. I don't like the music in this game, that's for sure, and you are stuck with Reimu only. The game pretty much feels like you are playing Touhou 15 because there are no other mechanics like in other Touhou series; just shoot and dodge until you are done. We are fighting a cat for some reason; I'm not sure what the story is either because it's in Chinese, I guess.”

The game's story is perceived as minimal and somewhat confusing, primarily due to language barriers, with players noting a simple plot that doesn't detract from the gameplay experience. While the soundtrack is praised, the focus remains on gameplay mechanics rather than narrative depth, leading to a general sentiment that the story is not a significant aspect of the game. Some players express a desire for a more engaging storyline, but acknowledge that the gameplay is well-crafted and detailed.
“Death is common, as usual, and it's funny when the autododge 'agrees' and just has Reimu accept her fate, but generally that autododge works as advertised if you're lazy and just want to see the story.”
“Despite the game for some reason being flagged as lacking English support, this is not the case as it does in fact have English in the options menu, so anyone wishing to understand the little story can indeed experience it.”
“But the storyline might be good if I can understand it.”
“It has no story.”
“With a seemingly simple plot (because I cannot read Chinese :p) and a great soundtrack, you won't really be focused on the story, but mostly on the gameplay, which is very well made and detailed.”
“This game is a Touhou game and it has 1 level but it's very hard and nothing changes like many Touhou games. A simple Touhou game; I would like a new story, but I don't know...”
