Rogue Warrior
"Rogue Warrior was a waste of time. Don't let the big name publisher fool you, Bethesda is probably for the worse for publishing this title. There is so little done right if anything that it is hard to warrant even the 2 hours it will take you finish the single player campaign, and with controls as flawed and useless as those found in Rogue Warrior I would not recommend even turning on the multi-player component, unless for a good laugh of course."

About
Rogue Warrior is a first-person shooter game with a single-player campaign and multiplayer mode, showcasing the explosive personality of Richard Demo Dick Marcinko. Despite having exceptional music, the game is poorly optimized and full of bugs, but also provides unintentional humor for some players. The action-packed gameplay revolves around intense combat and Marcinko's unique character.

- Mickey Rourke's voice acting and dialogue are hilariously over-the-top, providing comedic value throughout the game.
- The game is short, allowing players to complete it in under two hours, making it a quick and entertaining experience.
- The absurdity of the gameplay and the protagonist's constant swearing create a 'so bad it's good' atmosphere that can be enjoyable.
- The game suffers from numerous technical issues, including crashes, stuttering, and poor optimization on modern hardware.
- Gameplay is generic and repetitive, with a lack of depth in mechanics and a very linear structure.
- The AI is poorly designed, often resulting in brain-dead enemy behavior that diminishes the challenge.
story
139 mentions Positive Neutral NegativeThe story in this game is widely criticized as bland, forgettable, and poorly executed, often described as a generic military narrative filled with repetitive missions and clichéd dialogue. While some players find humor in the protagonist's over-the-top one-liners and the absurdity of the plot, many agree that the overall storytelling lacks depth and coherence, making it a chore to engage with. Overall, the narrative is seen as a weak point, failing to elevate the gameplay experience.
“Not only is the combination of award-winning stealth and action gameplay with the incredibly funny and well-written humor an unbelievably enjoyable experience, but also the captivating plot is only pushed forward by its compelling characters and story.”
“The story is one of the greatest I've ever experienced; it brought some of the manliest tears I've ever shed when I finished it.”
“The consistent and unpredictable plot twists kept me thinking to myself 'just one more chapter'.”
“The story is literally exactly what the 'about this game' section says, as in the only thing missing from it would be two guys die in the first cutscene and you win in the end yay!”
“The game is really tragic in many respects, starting with the graphics which stun the eyes with its ugliness; gunplay; moronic artificial intelligence; poor stability; the plot as if it were written by an edgy third-grader of primary school; hilariously bad dialogues; the game is painfully linear with a horribly boring level design; generally lacks polish; dead multiplayer, and a lot more.”
“The story is dumb, confusing and when it tries to use humor to engage the player, most of the time it feels ridiculous, even the sarcastic moments feel empty and dumbed.”
