gameplay
17 mentions Positive Neutral NegativeThe gameplay is generally praised for its satisfying parry mechanics and unique boss fights, showing solid core mechanics despite some clunkiness. However, it is noted as being short, barebones, and in need of more content, polish, and quality-of-life improvements like button remapping and a lock-on system. With further development and added features, the game has strong potential to become a well-rounded rogue-lite experience.
“Very satisfying parry window (way better than in 90% games with parry mechanic).”
“Every boss fight was unique, even with limited controls and clanky mechanics.”
“Properly established roguelite gameplay loop, where you lose all your acquired skills and start over.”
“Game needs more levels/enemies and rogue-lite gameplay systems.”
“Not a bad game; the bones are definitely there. The game lags and has stuttering issues, and being unable to remap the buttons is kinda cheap—it feels weird attacking with RB and LB. It’s a big open area with not enough to justify it being so big, but all that stuff can be fixed up as the game continues in development. If I had to suggest anything: allow button remapping, either make the enemies stronger or the counter weaker, consider a bladed weapon and not just the bow or have both. The game needs a dedicated lock-on system; half the time as I moved around the camera lost both me and the enemy. Ditch the specific attack shield mechanic or have that be a phase two or higher thing during mini bosses and actual bosses. Add some more variety between the arrow shots or develop a kind of synergy system to fuse or combine attacks into new ones, like the explosive shot and the conductive shot.”
“Tldr: this game plays well but it needs more gameplay content.”
