    13 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The gameplay of the game shows potential but is currently lacking in content and polish, with users noting the need for more levels, enemies, and refined mechanics. While the core gameplay is enjoyable, issues such as lag, clunky controls, and a lack of button remapping detract from the experience. Overall, players see promise in the game's foundation and hope for future updates to enhance its rogue-like elements and overall playability.

    • “Properly established roguelite gameplay loop, where you lose all your acquired skills and start over.”
    • “That being said, I do think with some polishing and all-around improvements, this could be really great as the parrying mechanic is really fun and I do see the bones of something potentially really good here.”
    • “Still fun but still needs a lot of polishing when it comes to sound effects and gameplay.”
    • “Every boss fight was unique, even with limited controls and clunky mechanics.”
    • “The game needs more levels/enemies and rogue-lite gameplay systems.”

    3 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

Players often engage with the game for its unintentional humor, finding enjoyment in its "so bad it's good" quality. This aspect of humor adds a unique charm, making the experience entertaining despite any shortcomings.

    • “The art style and setting are passable, but they don't stand out.”
    • “The game lacks essential graphics options; it only offers resolution and fullscreen toggle.”
    • “There are no real controller options available, just a mouse sensitivity slider.”
  • story
    2 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The story is widely criticized for lacking coherence, but many players acknowledge that it was not the primary reason for their purchase, expressing hope for future improvements from the developer.

    • “The story makes no sense, but no one bought this for the story. I hope Mr. Roy can make a good product based on this learning experience.”
  • optimization
    1 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The game's optimization is currently lacking, with noticeable lag and stuttering issues that detract from the experience. Players have expressed frustration over the inability to remap controls and suggested improvements such as a dedicated lock-on system and enhanced enemy mechanics. While the foundation is solid, many believe that these optimization concerns can be addressed in future updates.

    • “Not a bad game; the bones are definitely there. The game lags and has stuttering issues, and being unable to remap the buttons feels cheap. It’s weird attacking with RB and LB in such a big open area that doesn't justify its size. All of this can be fixed as the game continues in development. If I had to suggest anything, allow button remapping, either make the enemies stronger or the counter weaker, consider a bladed weapon in addition to the bow, or have both. The game needs a dedicated lock-on system; half the time, as I moved around, the camera lost both me and the enemy. Ditch the specific attack shield mechanic or have that be a phase two or higher thing during mini-bosses and actual bosses. Also, add more variety between the arrow shots or develop a kind of synergy system to either fuse them or combine attacks into new ones, like the explosive shot and the conductive shot.”
