Please, Don’t Touch Anything Game Cover
A hallmark of excellence. There may be flaws, but they are negligible and won't cause massive damage.

Please, Don't Touch Anything is a challenging button-pushing simulation that places you in front of a mysterious panel with a red button. With numerous mind-blowing surprises and riddles to solve, you must scavenge the room for clues, tools, and buttons while avoiding the urge to push the red button. The Oculus version offers 5 new puzzles and overhauled endings for those who have already played the original game. However, touching anything is strongly discouraged.

The gameplay of "Please, Don't Touch Anything" is characterized by a mix of intriguing puzzles and simplistic mechanics, which can lead to both engaging and frustrating experiences. While some players appreciate the charm and challenge of the puzzles, others criticize the input delay, repetitive nature, and lack of narrative depth, resulting in a gameplay experience that can feel hit or miss. Overall, the game offers a short but unique puzzle-solving experience that may appeal to those who enjoy experimentation, though it may not satisfy players seeking a more substantial or varied gameplay experience.

    • “The gameplay revolves around a series of constantly escalating puzzles that you must solve to unlock various endings, which are short and generally meaningless as it resets you to stage 1 each time.”
    • “Simple gameplay but highly addictive puzzler that will make you want to keep going until you 100% it.”
    • “The amount of charm and heart that has gone into the simple gameplay and graphics, and the amazing soundtrack all wrap it up into a wonderful experience.”

    • “This game is a glorified button simulator that still managed to pique my curiosity and make my brain go brr, but its repetitive nature led to frustrating gameplay at times.”
    • “For the price I paid, I don't have much to complain about, but between the gameplay being so easily stalled by confusion and the utter lack of any narrative or story, I can't recommend it.”

The game is largely criticized for its lack of a coherent story or narrative depth, with many players expressing disappointment over the absence of a plot or character development. Those seeking a story-driven experience are likely to be disappointed, as the game primarily focuses on puzzles without any significant narrative context.

    • “Some players may find themselves desiring a more fleshed-out story or clearer explanations for the events that unfold.”
    • “It's unfortunate that there isn't any kind of grand mystery or story to bring it all together, but maybe the point is that the player controls which way this short story goes.”
