In Legend of Legaia, a world created by God includes humans aided by Seru - magical stone objects granting abilities. When a mysterious entity named "Seeds of Sorrow" infects Seru, turning them hostile, humanity is threatened. Three heroes embark on a quest to cleanse the Seru and restore order, exploring the world, battling enemies, and uncovering the truth about the Seeds of Sorrow.
