God of War: Betrayal is a single player hack and slash game with fantasy and historical themes. It was developed by Javaground and was released on June 20, 2007. It received mostly positive reviews from critics and negative reviews from players.

Betrayal is the only installment in the series to be released on a non-PlayStation platform and presented as a 2D side-scrolling game.
