However, many reviews note that the narrative feels short, predictable, and at times disjointed, often drawing comparisons to better-known titles like "Mass Effect" without achieving the same depth or impact. While the game offers some meaningful choices that affect the ending, the overall execution is hampered by technical issues and a lack of substantial content, leaving players wanting more from the storyline.

“The story has twists and turns, the writing is well-done, and the characters are believable and relatable.”
“The story is pretty engaging, and I liked the humor and twists.”
“Even the story is not original and the choices are stupid.”
“Additionally, the storyline feels disjointed and fails to draw you in; the character development is shallow, leaving me indifferent to their fates.”
“The premise certainly had the ingredients to be interesting, but the poor pacing makes you wade through bland story for the majority of the game and just when things start to get interesting, the game ends.”

The music in the game has received mixed reviews, with many players finding it decent and fitting for the sci-fi atmosphere, though often described as generic and not particularly memorable. “Special mention goes to the music which was fantastic and really added to the sci-fi adventure feel.”
“The music was excellent throughout.”
“There is no impact with the shots, the guns barely make any noise, the music (when it plays) barely has any punch and being shot isn't even clear you are being shot.”
“The soundtrack is quite nice, but it's not memorable - just generic sci-fi music.”
“After sitting and listening to it for a whole afternoon, I did find the music to get a little repetitive.”

The game's optimization has received largely negative feedback, with many players experiencing significant stuttering, frame rate drops, and overall lag, particularly during combat and loading sequences. While some users report acceptable performance on mid-range systems, the consensus is that the game is poorly optimized, leading to frustrating gameplay experiences. “Now not everyone has performance problems, and some can run the game at 1060/60 no problem.”
“On the plus side, the story is good, the combat so far is nice, the environments are interesting, the game engine seems to be well optimized - I've had no frame dips that I've noticed and load times are so fast they can be a bit jarring.”
“Generally the performance is acceptable and it should take a low-mid spec recent build to run this game comfortably.”
“Aside from the length, the game is kind of unoptimized and laggy; a solution is to make the game run on Windows 8 compatibility settings.”
“Stuttering despite high frame rate, awful animations, and clunky controls really make this not worth the effort.”
“I'm playing the game on medium graphics, and I'm getting stuttering and my FPS is constantly below 50 FPS with 100% utilization of my 1070 GTX 8GB card, which is crazy.”

Fans of Eurojank (critic guilty as charged) can generally stomach low production values and lack of polish, but Everreach: Project Eden is just plain (and incomplete) junk. It fails as a Mass Effect-esque RPG, and fails far more as a shooter. One has to wonder why the developer still charges so high for something as badly-made as this, especially since it has obviously abandoned it.
30%Everreach: Project Eden review – Far from paradise
This game fails at almost everything it sets out to do. With janky animations, embarrassing story, awful combat mechanics, and horrible enemy layouts and AI, there's just not much positive to say about it.
