"Apocalich" is a fantasy RPG where players cooperatively or solo race against time to defeat the Lich King before he becomes too powerful. The entire map is visible, allowing players to keep track of the Lich's movements while completing quests and rebuilding the world. Battle enemies using action commands to block attacks and deal critical hits, and make sure to communicate and strategize with any co-op partners. The game is won by defeating the Lich King on the 20th day, but failure means starting over.

Players find the grinding aspect of the game tedious, particularly due to slow map navigation and repetitive gameplay. While the concept of an RPG where enemies grow stronger over time is intriguing, many feel that the execution leads to a lack of motivation to continue playing.
“The premise of an RPG where the enemy gets stronger over time and you have to make yourself strong enough to defeat them in time is interesting. I wish we had more games that explored that idea, but the basic gameplay of Apocalich is so tedious I don't even want to keep playing it, regardless of how well it manages the balance of making yourself stronger in time.”
