The gameplay of the game is accessible and easy to grasp, making it suitable for players of all backgrounds, with a meditative loop that encourages exploration and creativity, especially in the zen sandbox mode. While the campaign offers a basic storyline and serves as a tutorial for mechanics, players may encounter a learning curve and some bugs, particularly when managing larger stations. Overall, the game provides a visually appealing and relaxing experience, though it could benefit from more content and clearer UI information.
“This is not a desperately complex game, and the attempt at a campaign storyline is fairly crude and predictable, but the environments are pretty, the music sets a good ambience, and the gameplay loop can be quite meditative.”
“Its gameplay and mechanics are very easy to grasp, and because of that, I'm sure any player that picks it up who doesn't have a background with similar space RTS games (grid-based or not) will be able to understand and enjoy it.”
“For those of you who wish to enjoy a peaceful, zen-like gameplay experience: Starport Delta offers the chance to play in easy sandbox or in zen sandbox!”
“Probably the most troublesome thing was the somewhat lack of information from the UI than I would have preferred, and more advanced mechanics aren't explained in enough detail.”

“Building a small station is fairly straightforward, but managing the mechanics as you get bigger can become pretty hectic if you haven't put much thought into how you expand.”
