While many players appreciate the variety and creativity in the rhythm battles, some find the difficulty spikes and occasional dissonance between gameplay and music timing frustrating. “The way the game blends puzzles with music is truly magical, and I love how solving puzzles adds to the background melody of the zones, building them up and finishing their songs.”
“The songs are too lengthy and kind of dull.”
“Unfortunately, this might be the worst sounding rhythm game I've ever played - while the (classic midi synth sounding) soundtrack is usually decent, the character's chirps are shrill and don't fit with the music, missing notes emits a loud midi horn honk, and the notes you're meant to repeat back simon says style sometimes keep coming after you start playing, turning the big rhythm battles into cacophonous clusterfucks.”
“The music outside of the rhythm battles is also very repetitive, usually only a short loop playing over and over again, with minor extra layers added when you interact with particular stuff in the level.”

Songbird Symphony is one of the best games I have played this year. It came from no-where and melted my heart. It's a fantastic blend of several genres that is truly unique. It's a fun, easy-going musical adventure with a touching story. The art style and music is to die for and I cannot find any faults with it whatsoever. I want to play it for the first time all over again.
