A solid vision is spoiled by shaky implementation. The visual and art team deserves awards, but the confusing interface, bad translations, missing parts, and bad bugs make this feel like an early access game. Fun weapons, few enemies, and a huge number of "side mission" style quests make the otherwise beautiful world feel like empty filler.
Project Remedium is a single-player FPS game set in a microscopic world inside a human body. Players take on the role of Nano-Drone TR-110, tasked with eliminating infections, repairing damaged cells, and restoring balance. With upgrades and a variety of levels, players battle against viruses and bacteria in a unique and visually striking setting.

The story of the game is criticized for its lack of coherence and depth, with players noting that it starts with an intriguing premise but quickly devolves into repetitive and dull quests. While the linear structure allows for some exploration, many feel that the narrative fails to develop meaningfully, leaving the world feeling empty despite its visual appeal. Overall, the game struggles to balance its RPG elements with a compelling storyline, resulting in a disjointed experience.
“The story is that you are a nano-bot injected into a little girl who is suffering from some unknown illness.”
“It is a somewhat open world with objective-based quests, and you can get there however you want/need, but you only ever have one quest at a time.”
“They also tried to make the world into an RPG with multiple quests to follow the complete mission; this makes it weird. It should have been better if it was a mission straightforward, like a campaign instead of an RPG.”
“The story doesn't make much sense; you are the only nanorobot sent inside the body, but all of a sudden you see a lot of nanorobots inside that have created factories.”
“The idea of this game is good, but the playing experience is pretty bad and more story detail is needed.”
“There weren't any real story developments, nor gameplay developments other than getting the 'hook', with which you can quickly traverse the terrain... why linking those two together is supposed to be a good idea is beyond me.”

The gameplay has received mixed reviews, with many users criticizing its shallow mechanics, poor narration, and low-quality voiceovers, which detract from the overall experience. While the exploration of the human body offers a unique environment and the grappling hook mechanic adds some excitement, the lack of clear instructions and confusing controls lead to frustrating gameplay. Additionally, the absence of meaningful story and gameplay developments leaves players feeling underwhelmed.
“As far as gameplay goes, there is a steady, albeit slight, difficulty curve.”
“The exploration inside of the human body is a great environment to wrap all this gameplay within and makes for a very enjoyable time that I keep coming back to over and over.”
“There is also a grappling hook mechanic kind of similar to the Just Cause series.”
“Sadly, the gameplay is poor and shallow; the narration is boring, the voiceover is unfortunately low quality, and the level design, although interesting, is ultimately uninspired and messy. A pro art direction and gameplay with more punch could have given a AAA-class FPS.”
“There weren't any real story developments, nor gameplay developments other than getting the 'hook', with which you can quickly traverse the terrain at the expense of your primary ammo. Why linking those two together is supposed to be a good idea is beyond me, and let's not even talk about the 'map'...”
“There are gameplay elements like the crafting system and upgrading of weapons that are not documented on the internet yet, not part of the tutorial, and have no tips within the game, so it is part trial and error and part mucking through forums trying to figure out what they do.”

Overall, the game's optimization is widely criticized, with players reporting significant issues such as long loading times, poor frame rates, and audio stuttering. While some patches have improved performance for certain configurations, many users still experience persistent optimization flaws that detract from the gameplay experience. Developers are urged to focus on these technical shortcomings in future updates and titles.
“The interface is pretty straightforward and easy to navigate now that a couple of patches have been released, and the game runs smoothly at high FPS (GTX 1070) at 1440p and maxed out quality.”
“However, as you spend more time playing this, the flaws in gameplay and technical aspects become more apparent from the poor optimization, very long loading times, and inventory items that can't be slotted properly or stacked.”
“The devs will have to work a lot on the optimization for their next and future titles.”
“The game, unfortunately, is poorly optimized with FPS dipping low constantly and motion blur not being deactivatable.”

“A very promising setting and nice visuals (courtesy of UE4 lighting/shaders, making everything look at least 100% better than it would on almost any other engine).”
“The graphics are astounding, plus, the world you play in is just unique.”
