"Need for Speed: World is a simulation-style, massively multiplayer online racing game in the Need for Speed franchise. It was the first free-to-play game in the series, though it was only available on Microsoft Windows before going offline in 2015. Players could purchase a 'Starter Pack' for early access to the game before its worldwide release in July 2010."
