"Mega Man Battle Network" is a game set in a future where people use "personal information terminals" to connect to a network. The player controls Lan, who uses his PET, which contains Mega Man.EXE, to battle viruses in the network and restore peace. By defeating viruses and collecting Battle Chips, players can help Mega Man.EXE gain new weapons and abilities.
