The game's story is described as immersive and well-crafted, with a strong first half that captivates players, though the second half is considered less compelling. Some users noted inconsistencies and bugs, such as a confusing mercy-kill scenario, which detracted from the overall experience. Despite mixed feelings about the plot's interest level, many found the storytelling and puzzle integration surprisingly engaging.
“The first half of the story is great, the second is fine.”
“Great immersive story.”
“Story is well thought out and very engaging.”
“There are some bugs and story inconsistencies; for example, a dying crewmate can be mercy-killed by a second crewmate while a third one is in the process of saving them.”
“The plot of the game isn't all that interesting anyway, so I doubt the payoff is even worth it to finish it.”

Gameplay is characterized by a trial-and-error approach reminiscent of classic interactive fiction, which can be frustrating for some players due to the need to restart after failures. However, the game cleverly integrates this mechanic into its narrative, minimizing downtime and allowing for multitasking. While the design is solid and the story engaging, some players may find the execution of the time-restarting mechanic lacking.
“Solid game design and an interesting narrative with minimal animation and mechanics.”
“The game cleverly incorporates a trial-and-error nature, reminiscent of its Zork-esque roots, into a narratively-justified gameplay mechanic, ensuring that you won't lose too much time to restarting and it never feels too bogged down as long as you're prepared to multitask.”
“It has somewhat unique interactive fiction game mechanics.”
“Some players might get annoyed with the mechanic of having to loop back to the start after each failure.”
“There's also a generally frustrating trial-and-error nature that this game inherits from its Zork-esque roots, but the game rather cleverly rolls that into a narratively-justified gameplay mechanic, so you shouldn't end up losing too much time to restarting and it never gets too bogged down as long as you've got a mind to do a bit of multitasking.”
“It's only worth playing if you're interested in seeing the mechanic of time restarting used poorly.”
