  • Atmospheric sci-fi setting with a deep and intriguing storyline.
  • Old-school FPS gameplay appealing to fans of classic shooters with frenetic action and tactical RPG elements.
  • Quality graphics and a fitting soundtrack that enhances immersion.
  • Numerous game-breaking bugs including issues with mission progression, unusable pause menu, and unresponsive controls.
  • Gameplay can become repetitive and some missions lack engagement, featuring awkward controls and limited enemy interaction.
  • Technical issues such as lag, missing mouse sensitivity options, and broken achievements reduce overall playability.
  • story
    8 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The story structure is unconventional, allowing players to choose missions out of order rather than following a traditional linear campaign, which some find confusing. Additionally, a significant bug in the second mission prevents progression, and the repetitive, shooting-focused gameplay detracts from the overall narrative experience.

    • “This game not only has a way better story created by Jared Miller but also has beautiful 3D graphics created by Tao.”
    • “When you start the game, you can choose the mission you want to do. It is really weird as I am used to the classical campaign mode where you go through the levels in a story, progressing after completing each one.”
    • “Maybe developers should propose the campaign in a classical mode, making you start from the first level and then continue, or just explain in a narrative mode why you can choose every mission available.”
    • “When you start the game you can choose the mission that you want to do, which is really weird as I am used to the classical campaign mode where you go through the levels in order, progressing the story after completing each one.”
    • “Maybe the developers should just implement a classical campaign mode, making you start from the first level and then proceed sequentially, or explain in a narrative why you can choose any mission available.”
    • “Third, the gameplay gets terribly repetitive, as all the missions are based on shooting things, which sometimes doesn't even work.”
  • gameplay
    7 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The gameplay is criticized for being repetitive, primarily centered around shooting with limited variety and occasional technical issues causing lag. While it possesses potential and a straightforward FPS experience, it requires better optimization and more dynamic, engaging mechanics to stand out in a market saturated with graphically intensive but shallow games.

    • “The gameplay is just what you can expect from an FPS but, in my opinion, needs more improvements.”
    • “The gameplay seems good but I had some weird issues and sometimes lagged even in rooms where all the monsters were dead; it might be related to some objects with high polygon counts rather than just optimization.”
    • “With good optimization and a more frenetic oriented gameplay, this product has great potential to evolve in a market full of high-priced FPS games where players often just want a good time with more immediate and fun gameplay.”
    • “The gameplay gets terribly repetitive; all the missions are based on shooting things, which sometimes does not even work.”
    • “Every FPS today feels like an AAA product with tons of graphics and cutscenes but lacks gameplay due to linear levels and scripted events. Sometimes it feels more like watching an episode on Netflix than playing a game where all I want is to shoot someone.”
    • “Incredibly tedious gameplay.”
  • graphics
    4 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The game's graphics feature beautiful 3D visuals with a deliberate retro style, emphasizing fast-paced action over modern AAA polish. This design choice reflects a nostalgic, old-school aesthetic rather than laziness or inaccuracy, setting it apart from more cinematic but linear FPS titles.

    • “This game features beautiful 3D graphics created by Tao, complementing the compelling story by Jared Miller.”
    • “The graphics should be appreciated as a deliberate choice by the developers to present an old-school, retro style that focuses more on frenetic action rather than hyper-realism.”
    • “The retro-styled graphics enhance the gameplay experience by highlighting classic FPS elements, such as energy mechanics, that are rarely seen in modern shooters.”
    • “Today every FPS is just an AAA product with tons of graphics and cutscenes but lacks gameplay for its linear levels, scripted events, and sometimes I feel like watching an episode on Netflix rather than playing a game where all I want to do is just shoot someone.”
    • “I think that the graphics should not be seen as something lazy or inaccurate but just a developer choice that wants to propose something old school with retro styled graphics and more focus on the frenetic action of the levels with old stats that we now rarely see in an FPS, like the energy (I am pretty tired of the CoD system where you start seeing red and need to cover to regain your HP).”
  • optimization
    3 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The game shows potential but suffers from occasional lag and performance issues, possibly due to poorly optimized objects with high polygon counts. Improved optimization and a more fast-paced gameplay style could enhance the overall experience.

    • “The gameplay seems good but I have to say, I experienced some lag in certain rooms even when all monsters were dead. It might not be purely an optimization issue, possibly caused by objects with too many polygons.”
    • “Good optimization combined with a more frenetic gameplay could greatly improve this product, which has potential to stand out in a market crowded with high-priced FPS games that often lack engaging gameplay.”
    • “A well-optimized game with immediate and fun gameplay offers players a good time without the complexity seen in other high-priced FPS titles.”
  • music
    1 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The music features a typical indie FPS soundtrack that, while not particularly memorable, complements the game's style and environment well. Overall, it fits the atmosphere without standing out.

  • humor
    1 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The humor aspect is seen as having potential to enhance the game's fun and immediacy, contributing to a lighthearted and enjoyable experience amidst a market dominated by high-priced, less engaging FPS titles.

Grinding is widely regarded as tedious and repetitive, significantly detracting from the overall gameplay experience.
