The story aspect of the game is currently unfinished and subject to change with future updates, leading to mixed reviews from players. While some appreciate the backstory and the potential for interesting quests, many find the narrative unengaging and poorly integrated with gameplay, often feeling like a tutorial rather than a cohesive story. Additionally, players have reported issues with quest markers and objectives, which detract from the overall experience.
“The backstory is good, leading you right into the quest line from the beginning.”
“I'm impressed with the story quests as most of the early access survival games I've played either only have snippets here and there or are still in development.”
“I can't wait to see how the story progresses and what other mechanics will be added!”
“At the same time, there's a storyline to follow, but honestly, it's not very interesting at all. Even if I've been reading the new parts of the storyline, I can't really remember what it's all about.”
“There is no story; unlike what was shown in the screenshots, there are no documents to read, just pointless survival. Enemies are scarce, and there's no point to loot.”
“Objectives and quests are not optimized well; you don't really know what to do unless you fiddle in the quest section. Tutorials are mixed in with quests, and it just isn't streamlined yet.”

Users appreciate the game's aesthetic, highlighting its potential for future improvements as development continues.
“Graphics are really good.”
“The graphics are impressive, even the weary atmosphere keeps me on edge.”
“Graphics and performance wise, they are really good for a game that just got released.”

Overall, the gameplay is characterized by simple and clear mechanics that are easy to grasp, making it accessible for players. While some users noted occasional bugs and a lack of challenge, many appreciated the smoothness of the gameplay and the engaging environment. The game shows potential for improvement, with hopes for more depth and difficulty in future updates.
“Gameplay itself is pretty smooth and graphics are good.”
“I loved the shooting/fighting mechanics and traveling.”
“The environment is stunning, the gameplay is pretty damn smooth, and it's a fun world to explore.”
“After an hour of play, I had all the weapons, loads of food, water, 3 stocked inventory chests, 5 jerry cans of fuel, and ammo after just raiding 6/7 places. I couldn’t see where else the game could possibly evolve to; it’s just the same thing. Not to mention, you can just run the zombies over in your truck. This game would be great if it was way harder. There's no need to even protect your loot as nothing attacks your base, and your base area already has crafting tables, storage boxes, weapon and ammo benches. This should all be earned and crafted/leveled up. You can’t build really either. I wish this game had easy to extreme gameplay choices. If you die in this game, go play Mario.”
“Gameplay 0/10”
“Has a great concept and graphics are more than acceptable, but the ambience, animations, and gameplay are currently barely bearable.”
