27 mentions Positive Neutral NegativeThe gameplay of "Brawl of Ages" is heavily inspired by "Clash Royale," featuring similar mechanics but with unique twists and a more balanced approach that minimizes pay-to-win elements. Players appreciate the fast-paced, colorful design and solid mechanics, although some express concerns about matchmaking issues for new players and the prevalence of reskinned cards. Overall, the game offers addictive and enjoyable gameplay, particularly for fans of competitive card-based arena battles.
“Combining Clash Royale-style gameplay with CCG mechanics, S2 Games’ Brawl of Ages is a free-to-play arena battler that plays like nothing else around!”
“Overall a much more balanced game than its counterpart Clash Royale (with more unique and quirky mechanics to boot), just hope the player base increases with its full release.”
“Wonderful, graphical, fast-paced game with great game mechanics and awesome gameplay!”
“Very bad gameplay.”
“This game is not friendly to new players since they may win one match yet then get bombarded by other players with high-tier cards. During my gameplay of more than 50 matches, I found that only 2% of the matches were either against new players or players that disconnected, while the other 98% were all players with overly powerful cards that can cause issues for new players and prevent them from progressing in the game.”
“99% of the game is reskinned/animated Clash Royale cards with somewhat different mechanics, but it's the exact same.”
