The gameplay of Atlas Reactor is widely praised for its unique blend of turn-based strategy and MOBA elements, drawing comparisons to XCOM and games like League of Legends. Players appreciate the simultaneous turn mechanics that encourage strategic thinking and teamwork, making matches fast-paced and engaging. While some find the learning curve steep and the tutorial lacking in depth, the overall consensus is that the gameplay is addictive, enjoyable, and offers a refreshing take on the genre.
“The gameplay is amazing and there is a decent variety of characters that keeps each game unique and fresh.”
“Gameplay is tight and quick.”
“The gameplay itself is very solid and the tutorial was very informative of all the game's basic mechanics.”
“It's entertaining for a few days, but by day 3 or 4 you've seen everything the game has to offer, and unfortunately it's just not deep enough mechanically to establish a serious competitive community for e-sports, nor is it entertaining to watch, or as easy to get into as a casual, the way Fortnite, Overwatch, and League are.”
“The gameplay is solid and no two matches ever feel the same due to the constant change in tactics on both teams.”
Atlas Reactor Review- The Exploding Chess Board
While the developers did not excel at capturing my attention until I had given it a few more chances than an average game, Atlas Reactor proves to be genuinely unique in it's style, and definitely suited for those looking for strategy without the clickfest.
70%Atlas Reactor Review – Watch-Com? X-Over?
Atlas Reactor shows that even if there are no new ideas anymore, there are still new ways to use the old ideas and make them interesting again. Continued support and a community will hold it up but we need some serious expansion to really make it great. Even still, what is here is very solid and worth the time of any strategy lover.
