  • monetization

    159 mentions Positive Neutral Negative
8% positive mentions, 1% neutral mentions, 91% negative mentions

Users are frustrated with the frequent, repetitive, and sometimes malfunctioning ads that hinder gameplay, especially since some ads do not deliver promised hints. While a few appreciate the short and non-intrusive ads, many find the ad volume excessive, intrusive, and falsely advertised, with no option to remove them via purchase, detracting significantly from the overall experience.

    • “Best of all, no ads to distract you.”
    • “Lots of selection and no ads!”
    • “Enjoyable with no ads unless you want to earn hints.”
    • “Way too many ads & triggered in such a fashion that you can't find your way back home!”
    • “The amount of ads is absolutely ridiculous. God forbid you accidentally press back or swipe right or lock your screen or do anything that's not staring at the coloring book because you will sit through at 30 seconds of more ads for every action you do outside of coloring.”
    • “Your ads show these beautiful pictures with fine detail that doesn't exist in the app! Certainly nowhere near the quality and beautiful pictures they lure you in with in the ads.”

  • music

    9 mentions Positive Neutral Negative
22% positive mentions, 45% neutral mentions, 33% negative mentions

Users have mixed feelings about the music in the game; many find the current loud and repetitive music annoying and wish for an option to turn it off or replace it with calming, meditative background tunes. Several suggest adding customizable music choices or allowing users to play their own audio while coloring for a more relaxing experience. Overall, the music aspect could benefit from more user control and softer, more soothing tracks.

    • “Great to add Pandora or music to the background while you color too if you want to.”
    • “Honestly, I love this app. The ads are minimal, there are some, but I put music or an audiobook on my headphones and sit for hours just using this app.”
    • “I have enjoyed this color by number for several years, but I just uninstalled it because there is very loud banging music and drums. You can't adjust the volume frequently just to color my pictures. The music won't turn off in settings, which is very annoying and loud.”
    • “Would be better without ads and with meditation music, plus an option to turn it off or on.”
    • “I wish that this had soft music to help you relax.”
