7th Dragon III Code: VFD

7th Dragon III Code: VFD might appear to be a standard fare JRPG, and you would be right. However, the deep levels of customization, both in battle and outside of it strive to keep players engaged well throughout the game. It’s a 30+ hour game just at its core, so you’re going to spending quite some time playing. While it can get a little repetitive, the rewards and little set pieces that can be gained far outweigh the potential negatives that it can present.
7th Dragon III Code: VFD is an upcoming game in the 7th Dragon series of Japanese role-playing games. It will allow players to choose from eight jobs and 32 appearances for their party members, and 40 battle voices. 7th Dragon III Code: VFD is set in three time periods: the past, the present, and the future.

90%7th Dragon III Code: VFD Review
With top-class character customization, a delightfully different combat system and a slick nature-futuristic style, 7th Dragon III Code: VFD is a fantastic addition to the 3DS' JRPG library. It shares quite a bit with the Etrian Odyssey series — including a player-created party, satisfying class-based battle strategies, and an incredible Yūzō Koshiro soundtrack — but feels like an entirely different beast thanks to its unique classes, epic time-traveling storyline, and quietly charming downtime activities, from dating to cat cafés. A disappointing lack of stereoscopic 3D and a few quality-of-life quibbles get in the way, but they weren't enough to dampen our enthusiasm; this is perfect summer adventure to sink your teeth into.
90%7th Dragon III Code: VFD Review
7th Dragon III Code: VFD doesn't deviate from the standard JRPG formula, but it does challenge players to think of unique ways to approach combat. With an interesting approach to classes and a unique visual flair, it's definitely earned its niche in the robust selection of JRPGs native to the 3DS. The story and characters aren't anything particularly special, but they do manage to hold their own. Despite its somewhat pedestrian fundamentals, it manages to strike a good balance between plot and a strangely captivating class system.
