Xenoblade Chronicles has to be the best JRPG to have been released this generation- the rebirth of an entire genre.
In Xenoblade Chronicles, Shulk and his friends seek to understand the Monado sword and protect their home from the Mechon, violent robotic creatures, in an expansive open world that encourages exploration. Critics have praised the game for its innovation and improvement in Japanese role-playing games. The success of Xenoblade Chronicles led to the creation of the sub-series Xenoblade Chronicles X and Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
