The game's story is a mixed bag, featuring five mini-stories that contribute to a larger narrative, but the execution is often criticized for its weak writing and inconsistent rhyming. While some players appreciate the heartfelt backstory and abstract themes, others find the storytelling underwhelming and lacking depth. Overall, the concept is intriguing, but the narrative fails to leave a lasting impression, overshadowed by its puzzles and gameplay mechanics.
“I love the concept of this game, and the story is presented well.”
“You work through five different mini-stories that help the main story progress, and everything is quite abstract and deep.”
“A fascinating game with an engaging story.”
“Also, while the concept, story ideas, and overall storytelling are good, the actual writing is not the greatest.”
“The story is barebones with little depth.”
“Honestly, the story was the weakest part.”

The music in the game has received mixed reviews; while some players appreciate its poetic and minimalistic qualities, others find it repetitive and annoying, with one user noting a frustratingly short loop of just four notes. Despite the criticism, a few players enjoyed the music, stating it complemented the gameplay and puzzles well. Overall, the music's reception varies significantly among players, with some considering it a highlight and others a drawback.
“Music was nice, too.”
“Great puzzles and music, subpar story.”
“First, the 'music'—if you can classify 4 notes on a 3-second loop as 'music' (not even joking, I literally counted one of them)—is super annoying, and you can't even mute it to listen to your own music on your computer.”
“The story and music are very French.”
“Great puzzles and music, but the story is subpar.”

The graphics are described as clean and minimalist, earning high praise for their artistic quality; however, they can be overly simplistic and poorly visualized, leading to confusion about item creation. This minimalism, while visually appealing, detracts from gameplay by making it tedious to identify and assemble components effectively. Overall, the graphics may be more suited for mobile platforms than for a full gaming experience.
“And clean, minimalist visuals.”
“Graphics 5/5”
“Fine if you look at it as an artwork rather than a game, I guess.”
“While putting things together is the interesting aspect of the game, it turned out to be super tedious and annoying for a few reasons: 1) Many things are so poorly visualized that I didn't even know what I had made until sounds or other visuals were added to show what the item even was. Not only do they go for a super minimalistic style, but they also changed many aspects of the items (for example, think of a basic hammer: blunt on one side and flat with a notch on the other. Well, do you expect the notched side to curl 180 degrees around and almost be touching the shaft of the hammer? That's what you find in this game). 2) Even when you knew what you were supposed to make, it took forever to try and find the correct spot for things because of reason 1.”

“Stories feel too angsty for children, but the gameplay feels too simplistic for adults.”
“Not really quite worth spending too much money on for less than a couple of hours of actual gameplay.”
“If you want to experience the mechanics of the game, go ahead and buy it, but don't expect to feel any real attachment.”

Additionally, the time-consuming process of locating the correct spots for crafting further exacerbates the annoyance, leading to a less enjoyable experience.
