"The Drowning Machine" is a game created in memory of the developer's best friend, Charlie Schulz, who died by suicide in 2019. The game consists of six movements, one of which is "Wanderlust," a stage of grief where one fights to reach the surface and breathe again. Another movement, "Eulogy," was created using a poem written by Charlie before his passing. The game aims to spread awareness about suicide prevention and donations from it will benefit a Trans Lifeline in Charlie's honor.
