"The Drowning Machine" is a game memorializing the developer's best friend, Charlie Schulz, who died by suicide in 2019. The game includes a Trans Lifeline donation link in Charlie's honor. It features six movements, including "Wanderlust," where the player fights their way to the surface during a period of grief, and "Eulogy," a three-hour movement created using a poem Charlie wrote before his passing.
