Siegecraft Commander rich competitive gameplay will have you hooked for hours
"Siegecraft Commander" is a historical real-time strategy game that offers both turn-based and RTS options for multiplayer and single-player matches. Players build and aim towers to attack enemies and bolster their own defenses, with the ultimate goal of destroying the enemy's Keep. A unique feature of the game is the "Web of Control" system, where destroyed towers cause descendant structures to fall, adding an extra layer of strategy to the gameplay.

“The mechanics make it very much a game of 3 steps forward, 2 steps back.”
“After about 90 minutes of gameplay, the game glitched out and wouldn't let either of us make a turn.”

Overall, the graphics are highly praised for their quality and optimization, particularly in VR, where they enhance the gaming experience. However, some users express frustration over the lack of customizable graphics options and report technical issues, such as crashes and overheating of the graphics card. Despite these concerns, the detailed animations and visual complexity contribute positively to the game's appeal.
“I really like the concept and the quality of the graphics.”
“The graphics look great in VR and seem quite optimized.”
“The graphics are very well done, with the animations of the individual units visible from the farthest zoom.”
“It's a crash where everything locks up, goes black immediately and there's an extremely loud buzzing sound as my graphics card revs up like crazy and becomes super hot, unnecessarily!”
“Only thing I really miss is 'graphics options', which by my opinion is a must for VR games.”

Siegecraft Commander Review
Siegecraft Commander is a good idea which very nearly works. There is a lot of game packed in, and if a decent multiplayer community can be formed then it could be a fun one to be part of. The problem is the wonky control system which never quite feels right and undermines much of the good stuff on display.

In some ways, Siegecraft Commander works well for the VR medium; it introduces an apt and engaging control mechanism with the structure flinging. In addition, the control of the map and units and the touches of love in the UI all are positive things. The disappointing part is that the main gameplay on top of those things is just simply not anywhere near engaging or interesting enough to make for a great experience. Battles, whilst having a touch of strategic thought, more often than not descend into a boring slog of tower-defence mechanics. Similarly, the campaign is not interesting or lengthy enough to pull the rest of the game up to standard. It's not the cheapest VR strategy title on the market, either, and with multiplayer effectively dead, the chances of having a long-term relationship with Siegecraft Commander looks rather unlikely.
