The gameplay is currently criticized for being unenjoyable and lacking engaging mechanics, with users expressing doubt about its potential for improvement. Additionally, the absence of updates for several months has contributed to a sense of stagnation and the need for significant polishing.
“Even worse, it's not actually fun to play in its current state (and I doubt it ever would be given the mechanics present), and the game hasn't been updated for 3, going on 4 months.”

The story has faced criticism for shifting from a sandbox style to a restrictive format that confines players to their homes for the majority of the gameplay, hindering progression and leveling up. Despite updates claiming to extend the story to 100 days, players report that it still resets at 50 days, leading to frustration and disappointment with the game's evolution.
“The game was better in early access; it was originally sandbox style, but now you're trapped in your house for 90% of the allotted 50 days, making it impossible to level up or evolve or pass the test. Even though the update claims to have extended the story from 50 to 100 days, it still resets at 50. There are almost no drops. I paid for this game on Kickstarter and Steam with high hopes, and so far, all the updates have done is make it worse.”
