The game's story is criticized for being poorly developed and lacking direction, leaving players feeling unengaged and bored. Despite hints of a narrative, they are sparse and fail to provide a compelling plot or motivation, resulting in an empty world that detracts from the overall experience. Players express frustration over the tediousness of uncovering the story, which diminishes their desire to explore further.
“Of course, objects of interest and story are a great way to enhance the immersion, but I'd feel much more eager to look around without fear of missing something that leads to the endgame, which is supposedly the goal of the game.”
“There's no discernible plot or point to anything you do; the world is empty, and although it's classified as horror, it's just plain boring.”
“It doesn't seem like there's much direction going on at all, and while I can recognize that there was a story behind it, the hints at the story seemed few and far between.”
“After half an hour of playing, I'm still wanting to have an understanding of the story and gather memories, but finding them is so tediously boring and gives us so little information that, if it keeps up like this, I'm not willing to spend the time finding them!”

The graphics in the game are a mixed bag; while some players appreciate the simplistic yet atmospheric pixel art and detailed environments, others criticize the limitations of the RPG Maker engine, particularly its lack of full HD support and graphics customization options. Overall, the visuals evoke a nostalgic charm reminiscent of titles like Yume Nikki, but may not meet the expectations of modern gamers seeking high-quality graphics.
“Absolutely great experience! A couple of minutes in and I'm already invested in the world. It reminds me of Yume Nikki; the visuals are nice and the sound design is excellent.”
“The graphics are nice and simple, with great details in the walls and floors (and bizarre characters). It is excellently contrasted by the photography textures, which I really love.”
“I'm barely 20 minutes in and can now recommend giving this game a try. It has a great atmosphere and achieves a lot with simplistic graphics, complemented by very good and moody music and sound.”
“As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer.”
“A mind-numbingly boring pixel-graphic walking simulator.”
