However, many players have criticized the campaign for being short, repetitive, and plagued by bugs that hinder progress, leading to frustration during missions. While some appreciate the creative potential and fun challenges, others feel that the story lacks depth and suffers from generic themes and tedious objectives, especially towards the end.

    • “The story in the campaign is surprisingly engaging.”
    • “The story is charming and is very appealing for a younger audience and new players to the genre.”
    • “The pitch meetings that kick off every mission give you ample time to consume the tries-so-hard-to-be-cool team of one-note characters’ banter, but the storyline is so abysmally generic it basically regurgitates the moral of every anti-big business comedy film that denounces profit-at-any-cost in favor of… profit just for our guys, I guess?”
    • “The story mode is very short, with only 8 missions.”
    • “Okay game, finished the main storyline in less than 9 hours.”

The game's stability is a significant concern, with numerous players reporting frequent crashes, freezes, and a variety of glitches that disrupt gameplay. • “The game was released in a very buggy unfinished state and never should have been released this way.”

    • “Really enjoyed the game at first, but after only a few hours of play there was constant freezing, crashing, and audio glitches that were game-breaking with no feasible fix.”
  • gameplay
    157 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The gameplay of this game is a mixed bag, with many players praising the unique "impossification" mechanic that enhances ride customization and adds freshness to the experience. However, numerous technical issues, such as frustrating building mechanics, unresponsive staff, and glitches, detract from the overall enjoyment, leading to a perception of the game as unpolished and in need of significant updates. While some find the core gameplay loop engaging, others feel it lacks depth and consistency, making it a challenging experience for fans of the genre.

    • “The mechanics of this game are fantastic, and being able to upgrade rides by impossification is exactly what a game like this needs!”
    • “Unique and fun gameplay, relatively easy to create new coaster designs, amazing impossifications to make to rides, shops, and staff.”
    • “Superb gameplay, and you will have a ton of fun playing it.”
    • “The mechanics are awful, the tutorial didn't help at all, it's so glitchy and buggy, and building a single roller coaster is near impossible.”
    • “The campaign was near impossible to progress through with how glitchy the mechanics have been.”
    • “The mechanics are god awful in this game.”
  • graphics
    108 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The graphics of the game receive mixed reviews, with many praising the colorful and detailed art style, as well as the impressive visuals during gameplay. However, players have reported various graphical glitches, such as janky animations and overlapping objects, which detract from the overall experience. While some find the graphics to be a refreshing change from similar games, others criticize them for being too cartoonish and lacking the polish seen in competitors like Planet Coaster.

    • “One thing it has going for it are beautiful graphics.”
    • “The graphics are fantastic and the game is full of humour.”
    • “Visually, the game boasts impressive graphics.”
    • “The graphics look way too cartoonish.”
    • “The placement of objects is often overlapped with other objects, which makes the visuals look really bad.”
    • “I think the graphics/animation really need optimization as I get weird frame drops and jagged textures the more I build.”
  • optimization
    38 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The optimization of the game has received mixed reviews, with some players experiencing solid performance and minimal bugs, while others report significant issues such as frame drops, stuttering, and camera problems, particularly in more complex scenarios. Many users believe that the game feels rushed and requires further patches to address these performance inconsistencies and minor glitches. Overall, while some players find it playable, the consensus is that optimization needs improvement to enhance the overall experience.

    • “I've had the pleasure of experimenting with different settings, combining low, medium, and high options to achieve a pleasant balance between aesthetics and performance.”
    • “First of all, this game is well-optimized and barely contains noticeable, let alone 'gamebreaking' bugs or even crashes.”

  • music
    30 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The music in the game receives mixed reviews, with some players praising its dynamic nature that adapts to the rides' speed and overall park performance, creating an engaging atmosphere. However, many others criticize the lack of variety, repetitive motifs, and a generally lackluster sound design that detracts from the experience. While some find the soundtrack enjoyable and fitting, others describe it as boring and sterile, suggesting that improvements in music and sound design could significantly enhance the game's appeal.

    • “The music is perfect and I love how it changes based on how your park is doing.”
    • “But then I realized that each music is changing dynamically according to the current state and speed of the rides, tailored to change the beats with the beat of the ride.”
    • “I also enjoyed the wide range of music, going from relaxing to upbeat.”
    • “Music/sounds: this is very lackluster as there is basically no music to the game and I don't see a reason to play my own or create a playlist. The musical motifs and cues get stale fast, and sound is almost non-existent, besides a soundtrack that is also missing.”
    • “It seems like they missed the point of fun; this is a cold and sterile world where you seem a mile above the park with your boring music.”
    • “And the music is terrible.”
  • grinding
    26 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

Players find the grinding aspect of the game to be tedious and frustrating, particularly during campaign missions where repetitive tasks and strict construction rules hinder enjoyment. Many recommend focusing on sandbox mode instead, as the campaign often feels like a chore, with some even comparing it unfavorably to other theme park simulators like Planet Coaster. Overall, while there are fun elements, the grind can detract significantly from the overall experience.

    • “You'll need a second life for grinding.”
    • “It's hard and tedious to make a roller coaster that isn't a mess of rails, and that's coming from someone who has thousands and thousands of hours in coaster builder games.”
    • “This makes doing simple campaign missions far more difficult to complete, or very tedious, as it takes far longer to complete simple goals.”
    • “Edit (at like 30+ hours): there's a lot of graphical bugs and once you've impossified everything, it starts to get less fun and just feels like a grindy, less fun theme park sim.”
  • humor
    18 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The humor in the game is widely praised for its light-hearted and quirky nature, with characters exhibiting distinct personalities that enhance the comedic experience. Players appreciate the wacky effects, such as humorous ride malfunctions and amusing character interactions, which contribute to a fun atmosphere. However, the humor may not appeal to everyone, as those who dislike it from the outset are likely to find the game unengaging.

    • “While the character models aren't the best quality I've seen, the personalities of each character and the humor they employ are spot on; even the less likable ones have their likable quirks.”
    • “The fun and humorous 'impossification' of rides is a great addition to the genre, and helps set it apart from some of the others in the genre.”
    • “In theme park, I liked the wacky effects and humor, like kids barfing and rides breaking.”
  • monetization
    12 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The monetization strategy of the game has drawn significant criticism, with users feeling misled by advertisements that promised content not delivered, particularly with the expensive "impossified edition." Many view the approach as a cash grab, suggesting that an early access model would have been more favorable for gathering player feedback and improving the game before full release. Overall, the lack of transparency and perceived exploitation of players' wallets has left a negative impression.

    • “I bought the $99.99 physical 'Impossified Edition.' The advertisement stated it came with the Zombeyond set, which I did not receive.”
