62 mentions Positive Neutral NegativeThe music aspect of Ohm Studio is praised for its collaborative features, allowing musicians to work together remotely, which many users find enjoyable and innovative. However, the free version is criticized for its limited functionality, lack of external VST support, and a steep learning curve, leading some to recommend alternative software for serious music production. Overall, while it offers a unique platform for music creation and community engagement, users express frustration with its stability and the necessity of a paid version for more comprehensive features.
“This program is a serious game changer for my music and me.”
“It's an amazing concept for people to make music solo or together at a distance and share projects for both casual and professional use.”
“The community is very helpful, and because of its endless creativity, I recommend Ohm Studio to musicians of all skill levels.”
“I cannot attest to the paid version, but the free version of this is garbage. It has no external VST compatibility as it states, and every item but three they are trying to sell you. If you want a great pro DAW that has a free addon to contact and even jam with others, get Studio One 3. Its Studio One Prime, their free version, you need Artist and a paid plugin to use external VSTi, but it has a plethora of instruments and capabilities attached to it. Even Magix Music Maker 16, which is on Steam, is more friendly than this. To me, as a musician who uses many DAW softwares daily, this seems like a cash grab for very little. I personally wouldn't waste my time on this; there are too many free DAW softwares that are better, and their paid versions are even better than anything in these offerings.”
“The free edition hardly has any plugins, so creating a song from scratch is impossible.”
“Ultimately, as it stands, you will need to pay for a premium version if you plan on creating music regularly.”
