LEGO Worlds
LEGO Worlds is a delightful game, full of whimsy with tonnes of things to see and do. The draw of exploration is excellent as is the myriad of items to collect, but frame rate issues and quest bugs slow the gameplay down a bit.

The story aspect of "Lego Worlds" has received mixed reviews, with many players noting a significant lack of a cohesive narrative. Instead of a traditional story, the game features a series of repetitive fetch quests that often feel tedious and uninspired, leading to a sense of aimlessness. While some players appreciate the sandbox elements and the freedom to build, they express disappointment over the absence of engaging storylines or meaningful character interactions, which are hallmarks of other Lego games.
“The game shines in the sandbox mode allowing you to make anything and terraform quickly, the adventure mode is fun too, but it can be a bit repetitive and slow, there is never any bigger quests or stories to follow just simple NPCs wanting 3 or 4 animals within a range or a NPC having to be dug up from the ground.”
“The quests and stuff are fun, they add more purpose to the game and give more stuff to do.”
“The new system gives me the old Lego game feel, like Lego city, you start off as an astronaut and you progress through a series of easy quests which require little to no effort, it isn't bad but it's dull.”
“No real story to this at all.”
“The whole game does not really have a story, you run around to do quests and receive bricks for that.”
“The story mode is ... well there is no plot for starters, you run around and do errands for NPCs (that don't even spawn sometimes?) the minimap is hard to work with, the inventory is hard to work with.. by the time you get used to it the game would come to an end.”
Joe Reviews: Lego Worlds
All in all, Lego Worlds is an amazing Lego game…But as an exploration / sandbox game…It’s nothing more than flat, boring and short-lasting. Definitely worth the money if you have a kid who loves Lego, but not if you have two or more children that’ll be wanting to clamber around the controller. It’s fun, but in short bursts.

LEGO Worlds ultimately proves that the bricks still have that strong appeal to me even as an adult. It’s certainly got its fair share of flaws with the repetitive nature of objectives, awkward controls, and sketchy camera, but behind all of those is a great game that’ll certainly provide some relief for any gamer’s creative itch.
