Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West Game Cover
Lead and Gold is a great title for $15. If you enjoy playing Team Fortress 2 and or Left 4 Dead, then this is a close western mock-up. One of the best Indy games I have played since Fat Princess.

The gameplay of the game is generally praised for its smooth mechanics, fun team-based action, and unique class diversity, making it enjoyable and accessible. However, many users note the lack of a single-player mode, a dwindling player base, and various connectivity issues that detract from the overall experience. While the core gameplay is solid and engaging, the absence of active players and modern updates limits its long-term appeal.

    • “With its combination of stylized graphics, dynamic gameplay, and a strong emphasis on teamwork, the game stands out as a fun and accessible experience.”
    • “The gameplay is simple yet addictive, with a variety of unique classes that encourage teamwork.”
    • “Such a fun game with great gameplay; if you are a fan of western games, this game will hook you immediately.”
    • “There is essentially no singleplayer gameplay other than the practice mode where hordes of NPCs spawn the more that you play.”
    • “Got this game on giveaway, and at the time of this review, the player online count in the game was 22. The server connection depends on the host, meaning someone can have 20 ping while others have 800, which is a bad system. The worst thing about the game from my experience is that you cannot ensure you end up on the same team with your friends. Many times a friend invited me only to end up on the enemy team. Moreover, if either of those teams ends up getting steamrolled, obviously the friends will not have a good time. Searching for another server with good connectivity is a pain, and the connection to the host issue means that if the host's team is losing and they get fed up, they can just shut it down, kicking everyone out. I don't recommend this game; there is no sense of progression whatsoever. It's just the gameplay, which is fine, but it's filled with other issues that make the whole thing not worth your time, even for free.”
    • “Don't even waste 1 cent on this game. It's a disaster. Every second and every cent spent on this game is a waste. Bad graphics, bad gameplay, bad character setups, worse weapon control, and overall a huge disappointment. -5 out of 10.”

The game currently lacks monetization strategies, such as microtransactions or a free-to-play model, which has contributed to its declining player base. Reviewers suggest that introducing cosmetic items and ads could revitalize interest and attract new players.
