"Iubes 2 has you strategize in a massively multiplayer spherical arena, where your units are intelligent cubes with a mind of their own. Battles are thrown into a time loop, requiring you to learn and predict events to succeed. As there are no allies, you must choose to circle or charge into the crowd of hundreds of opponents. Your role is to guide, not micromanage, as iubes gather resources, work, fight, and defend by themselves."

The gameplay of this indie game features innovative mechanics that offer a refreshing experience after years of conventional gaming, with a notable emphasis on economy and build orders typical of RTS games. However, players find the scope limited, leading to a repetitive experience that may not sustain interest beyond a few hours, despite options for relaxed play against AI. Overall, while the game introduces some unique elements, its limited depth may hinder long-term engagement.
“A nice little indie game with some good concepts that are worth exploring for the different gameplay mechanics. After 20 years of gaming, it's nice to see something different.”
“Gameplay speeds up as the game progresses, and there are fewer decisions left to make.”

“At least if a player wishes for a more relaxed gameplay, there is still the option to play against AI on easy settings; those could be improved though.”
“With this very specific gameplay, iubes definitely proves how important economy and build orders are, just like any conventional RTS.”
