  • Charming and addictive gameplay with a relaxing island atmosphere and colorful, lively graphics.
  • Engaging mix of farming, shop management, co-op play, and mini-games providing variety and fun with friends.
  • Clear progress and improvements from the developers with promising updates, polished mechanics, and a solid core gameplay loop.
  • Frequent bugs and technical issues, including multiplayer connectivity problems, NPC pathfinding glitches, and quest bugs.
  • Sometimes clunky mechanics and pacing issues, such as fast customer flow, tedious delivery missions, and limited item uses causing frustration.
  • Performance problems on some systems and outdated or AI-generated-looking art causing mixed impressions about visuals.
  • gameplay
    10 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The gameplay is described as a straightforward yet engaging market simulation with a satisfying core loop of managing and expanding an island business, offering depth through various mechanics like faction dynamics and co-op play. While some find the mechanics a bit clunky or dated, many praise its innovation and depth, making it one of the best market simulator experiences available.

    • “The core gameplay loop of managing your island market, from sourcing goods to setting prices, is simple yet addictive.”
    • “Combining co-op gameplay with a market simulator is a great idea.”
    • “The mechanic of this game is still kinda clunky but this can easily be fixed (the feel is like playing a PS1 game).”
    • “Don't ask me for gameplay because I honestly gave it no honest attempt at gameplay.”
    • “The gameplay is straightforward but provides enough depth to keep you engaged—selling goods, managing your market stalls, and expanding your island business.”
  • graphics
    5 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The graphics are colorful and create a relaxing island vibe, though they feel somewhat dated, comparable to early 2000s games. While visually pleasant and rewarding as you progress, performance issues like low frame rates (around 20 fps) can impact the experience.

    • “The graphics are colorful and lively, creating a relaxing island vibe that instantly draws you in.”
    • “The visuals are pleasant, and the progression feels rewarding as you expand your business and unlock new items.”
    • “The graphics are more or less on par with games from the 2000s.”
    • “20 fps on every graphical setting.”
    • “To be honest, the first time I saw the graphics of this game I was kinda skeptical.”
  • grinding
    4 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

Grinding in the game can feel tedious and frustrating, especially due to frequent item durability limits and demanding customer requests early on, leading to excessive backtracking and slow progression. However, the farming, trading, upgrades, and co-op elements blend well, providing engaging and relaxing gameplay that keeps players busy and invested in expanding their shop.

    • “Every item having uses to an annoying degree slows progression, such as having to cross town mid-day because my hammer only has 5 uses to get rid of thieves. There should be better progression in customer needs; losing points over a customer wanting a 5k investment item on day 2 is frustrating.”
    • “The builder delivery mission is tedious, especially when multiple crates of merchandise are needed for some steps but you can't prepare for future steps. This drags out what could be a 2-day process into over a week, and by the time it's done, you may have already found a quest that removes the need for the zipline.”
    • “Grinding through the farming, trading, upgrades, and deliveries feels unnecessarily prolonged due to overly complex customer demands and slow mission progression.”
  • story
    3 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The story features a sense of humor and interesting character actions, but is bogged down by numerous bugs and tedious quest progression. Additionally, some gameplay mechanics tied to the story, like item usage and customer demands, feel overly frustrating and disrupt the overall pacing.

    • “There's a sense of humor in the story, and I really enjoyed how the character running around carrying something in his hands added a unique touch.”
    • “Conceptually neat, but needs an entire shipment of raids to get rid of the bugs before it earns the asking price. I don't think there was a single in-game day without some sort of bug. If you skip a quest, you have to save and load to get it to pop up again. NPCs regularly get stuck in the store, just blankly staring at the shelving after picking up what they wanted.”
    • “The only intentional annoyances that need tweaks: literally every item has uses, to an annoying degree. I don't want to have to cross town midday because my hammer only has 5 uses to get rid of the pile of thieves trying to sneak in. There needs to be progression in customer needs. Losing points because a customer wants something that costs at least 5k on day 2 is beyond annoying. The builder delivery mission is tedious, especially when they want multiple crates for some steps and not being able to prepare for future steps is just plain annoying. A 7-step process takes over a week in game, which most games could have done in 2 days, and by then you've probably found a quest that removes any need for the zipline anyway.”
  • stability
    2 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The game launched with significant stability issues, but ongoing updates from the developers have improved performance; however, it still remains quite buggy.

    • “Unfortunately, it is currently a hot buggy mess.”
  • optimization
    2 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The game shows potential but currently suffers from optimization issues that impact performance. Once these are addressed in future updates, it is expected to run smoothly and provide a more enjoyable experience.

    • “It’s a gem that actually runs smoothly.”
  • humor
    1 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The humor in the game is highlighted through the story and character animations, with users appreciating the amusing actions and playful moments.

  • atmosphere
    1 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The game's atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable, enhanced by its island setting that adds to the overall chill vibe.

  • music
    1 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The music is well-received and considered great by users, enhancing the overall experience.
