  • The game features a unique and captivating Frutiger Aero and mid-2000s aesthetic combined with a nostalgic, chill atmosphere and great music that complements the visuals.
  • Movement and core parkour mechanics are mostly tight, precise, and satisfying, with a skill ceiling that appeals to both casual players in easy mode and hardcore players in hard mode.
  • Level design is well crafted with good player guidance through environmental cues, tasteful puzzles, collectibles, and a variety of mechanics like bounce pads and low gravity blocks, creating an engaging climbing experience.
  • Optimization issues including frame drops, stuttering, and occasional memory leaks hamper smooth gameplay, especially on some hardware, causing frustration in precision jumps.
  • Some climbing and movement mechanics such as ladder handling, mantle bars, and certain jumps feel inconsistent, floaty, or janky, which breaks the flow and causes player frustration.
  • The amount of content is limited with only two maps currently, and issues with the checkpoint and save system have caused progress loss for some players, reducing replayability and player confidence.
  • graphics
    22 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The game's graphics are widely praised for their unique blend of bloody, clean, and Frutiger Aero aesthetics, creating a visually stunning and atmospheric experience reminiscent of titles like Mirror's Edge. Many highlight the diverse visual styles, including vaporwave and mid-2000s inspirations, as well as smooth movement and impressive raytracing effects, though some note optimization issues on lower-end PCs. Overall, the visuals, combined with the music and vibes, contribute significantly to the game's immersive and enjoyable atmosphere.

    • “If your PC can handle it you can crank the graphics to max even with raytracing and it looks absolutely stunning.”
    • “Overall the game combines Frutiger Aero (a la Mirror's Edge), vaporwave, and liminal aesthetics to create a very enjoyable playspace.”
    • “This game brings a refreshing take on parkour games with its stunning graphics, music, and vibes overall.”
    • “Really satisfying but maybe wait for it to maybe get more optimized or just turn down all the graphic settings to not cause yourself any problems.”
    • “While the clean aesthetic might look similar, this isn't a parkour runner.”
    • “I love the idea of a rage parkour game in the style of (I wish it was Mirror's Edge) Minecraft and the visuals of Mirror's Edge Catalyst.”
  • gameplay
    16 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The gameplay offers a mix of challenging parkour and movement mechanics reminiscent of Minecraft, with progressively harder jumps and varied level design that introduces new mechanics. While the movement is generally enjoyable and allows for some speedrun creativity, issues like blind jumps, inconsistent mechanics, and occasional stuttering can disrupt flow and frustrate players. Overall, the gameplay is engaging but could benefit from smoother optimization and more refined controls.

    • “The game has progressively harder jumps as you learn and master more and more mechanics of the game (for example wall jumping is introduced at the start and later you need to master it).”
    • “The gameplay really gets challenging and the movement is pretty good; I found some speedrun techniques while trying around obstacles which helped me shortcut a big area.”
    • “Gameplay is good, similar to Beton Brutal, where Minecraft parkour is made more complex by the designer's ability to create complex jumping scenarios and add mechanics.”
    • “Many jumps feel blind or imprecise, and the parkour mechanics are primitive, almost Minecraft-like.”
    • “Easy mode is too easy due to near constant checkpoints and hard is too frustrating due to the innumerable blind jumps and inconsistent mechanics.”
    • “As for the actual gameplay itself, there are too many tedious jumps that just completely ruin the flow of the game.”
  • music
    15 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The music in the game is widely praised for its relaxing, fitting, and nostalgic qualities, often enhancing the overall atmosphere and vibe. However, some users note a lack of variety and desire a larger music pool to prevent repetition. Overall, the soundtrack is considered a strong and memorable aspect of the experience.

    • “The vibes, aesthetics, and OST were the best part of this game.”
    • “I very much enjoy the drum and bass music and general atmosphere of the game.”
    • “The music design is also very great, fast-paced, nostalgic, and gives a 2000s vibe.”
    • “Music is okay, but gets a bit boring because there is no variety at all; it sounds like one song that gets replayed over and over.”
    • “If only there were more music.”
    • “I only wish for the music pool to be bigger, since it's kind of small.”
  • optimization
    7 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The game's optimization is generally poor, causing freezing, stuttering, and high GPU usage even on high-end systems, which negatively impacts gameplay fluidity. Performance issues and inconsistent mechanics lead to frustration, especially compared to smoother, better-optimized titles in the same genre. Players suggest lowering graphic settings or waiting for patches to improve stability.

    • “Performance was rock solid for me.”
    • “Really satisfying but maybe wait for it to get more optimized or just turn down all the graphics settings to avoid problems.”
    • “4/10 from someone who comes from playing loads of Mirror's Edge and Stride, this game simply is just not good especially for a game that came out last year. I cannot tell if this game just has poor optimization or if it just guzzles the GPU power. The running does not feel good nor does the climbing; it genuinely feels like they rushed it. The first level is literally just a repeat of the last area with one more feature. The level gets repetitive fast and boring. Instead of having wall running, you have to jump off of it, which feels even worse. Mantling isn't a thing at all, so if you make a jump that is possible but just an inch short, you are going back down. There is almost no room for recovery. For nearly 20 dollars I cannot say I am surprised that this is a game that feels like they want money. You cannot hold spacebar on every jump; you are forced to let go or have it look like you're playing CS:GO bhop. I would not suggest this game to anyone unless you are a speedrunner looking for something to do. Genuinely avoid this game and purchase Mirror's Edge or, if you have VR, get Stride. They both feel great and don't make your GPU run at high temps.”
    • “Couldn't get past 177 meters because of poor optimization, freezing and stuttering like no other. 4070ti-super i9 14900k. Game looks gorgeous but gameplay itself and poor optimization kinda blew it for me.”
    • “Not amazing performance, I have a 9070 XT and I'm getting 90-100 FPS on the lowest settings. The high settings run around 70 FPS but stutter a little, which is not what you want in a game like this.”
  • atmosphere
    6 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

Users praise the game’s atmosphere for its nostalgic, immersive quality and strong audio-visual design, often comparing it favorably to titles like Mirror’s Edge. However, some criticism is noted regarding inconsistency between maps, with the second map lacking the same atmospheric depth as the first. Overall, the atmosphere is highlighted as a standout and highly enjoyable aspect of the game.

    • “The game has a beautiful, nostalgic atmosphere that reminds me of Mirror’s Edge.”
    • “Top tier atmosphere, OST, visuals.”
    • “In general, the thing that stands out the most to me about this game is the atmosphere and movement.”
    • “The second map feels like the developer forgot how to build an atmosphere. You have clouds and that's all. The first map is from another world compared to the second map.”
  • grinding
    3 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

Users find the grinding aspect frustrating due to an excess of tedious jumps that disrupt gameplay flow and diminish enjoyment, especially toward the end. The challenging puzzles contribute to a sense of monotony, making the experience less engaging compared to similar games like Mirror's Edge.

    • “There are too many tedious jumps that completely ruin the flow of the game.”
    • “So many unbelievably tedious jumps toward the end that just make it not fun.”
    • “While the environments have energy, the tediousness of the puzzles makes the game less enjoyable.”
  • story
    2 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The story is simple and minimal, with no deep narrative or complex mechanics, focusing instead on environmental storytelling. While the found letters add some context, their content is often considered unconvincing. Overall, the story provides enough engagement without being a central feature.

    • “There is a bit of environmental storytelling, enough to keep me engaged, even though the text of the letters you find is kinda bs.”
    • “There's no complex move-set or deep story mode here—you get a single wall jump and a world to climb.”
    • “There is a bit of environmental storytelling, enough to keep me engaged, even though the text of the letters you find is kind of nonsense.”
  • emotional
    1 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The game effectively evokes an emotional response through its surreal, Foddy-inspired atmosphere and heartfelt references, such as the genuine tribute to TempleOS. These elements create a uniquely touching and memorable experience.
