The game's story is criticized for being repetitive and underdeveloped, with players noting a lack of engaging narrative and laughable voice acting. While some find the campy elements enjoyable, others report frustrating progression issues that hinder the overall experience. Overall, the story fails to leave a significant impact, overshadowed by gameplay mechanics.
“Game has a campy, but fun story.”
“This game is the same thing from start to finish, corridors after corridors and nothing else at all. The voice acting is laughable, and there is zero scenario or story. At the very least, the tiny bit we have is absolutely not developed one bit. It's guns only, and melee breaks in 2-3 hits after a few stages, no matter the weapon. There are grenades you can find, but you cannot keep them on your belt, and they eventually blow up on their own in your hand. Crawling zombies literally fly to upper floors to reach you, and there's a painful green flash when you heal. There are only 4 guns total in the whole game.”
“Well, this story has been told many times about VR early access games.”
“What happened is that I could not progress the story, no matter what I tried.”

The game's optimization is criticized for being poor, with weapons breaking after only a few uses and significant issues during gameplay, such as weapons despawning during loading screens. Overall, players feel that while the game functions, it suffers from substantial technical shortcomings.
“The weapons break after about 4 zombie kills, and the engine is very poorly optimized. The gameplay works just enough, but going through loading screens with weapons in hand causes the weapon to despawn.”
“The optimization is lacking, leading to frequent frame drops and long loading times that disrupt the overall experience.”
“I encountered numerous bugs and glitches due to poor optimization, making it frustrating to enjoy the game.”
