The gameplay of Crimesight is a unique blend of social deduction and strategy, reminiscent of games like Clue and chess, offering intriguing mechanics and a strong tutorial for new players. However, it suffers from a steep learning curve, quality of life issues, and a reliance on multiplayer modes that can lead to a lack of engagement due to a dwindling player base. While the art and music are praised, some players find the gameplay can become repetitive and unbalanced over time, making it hard to recommend without reservations.

    • “All the good looking art, smooth animation and fitting music is a bit wasted on a rather shallow game.”
    • “Tried this game out for the free weekend; I like the art and the music but I find it disappointing that the way rooms are set up prevents you from trying out all of the AI (Sherlock, Moriarty, Irene, and Watson) if you don't have three other friends to play this with.”

  • monetization
    6 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The monetization strategy has been criticized as a cash grab, with a lack of advertising and developer communication contributing to a dwindling player base. The game's premise of a "who is going to do it?" scenario fosters laughter and excitement, making it a fun experience for players in a social setting.
