The story in this game is largely considered forgettable and generic, often described as a mere backdrop to the action rather than a compelling narrative. While some players appreciate the humor and the context provided through audio logs, many find the plot simplistic and uninspired, with a lack of character development and a disappointing conclusion. Overall, the consensus is that the gameplay overshadows the story, which is not a primary focus for most players.
“The story is interesting as you can recover some audio logs which explain what went wrong with the aliens.”
“Additionally, there's a side-story running through discoverable audio logs that kind of fleshes out the background and if the main plot is 'die hard in space' the audio logs are more like a proper science fiction short story with a surprisingly fleshed out protagonist.”
“The visuals are amazing and the story is good.”
“The story is pretty much nonexistent, and you'll be relying on audio logs to find out anything interesting, which can be a bit of a pain to find.”
“The worst thing though, the absolute most unforgivable thing, the story just ends.”
“The story is generic, it looks generic but it's fun as hell.”

75%It's worse than the name -- Alien Rage
Alien Rage is as bad as you expect, and something that all video game lovers should keep their hard earned dollars away from. That is, in case you enjoy dying randomly, putrid visuals, and watching a story that couldn’t keep interest from the simplest of minds for more than thirty seconds. If that sounds like something you desire, then I have a game for you. If not, may I recommend saving your money up for one of these nice new consoles?
