Even if the servers had enough players to start a round of The Culling 2, we wouldn't recommend it. This battle royale is a royale mess.

The game features larger maps and more players than its predecessor, with a focus on fast-paced combat and strategic gameplay. However, it received mostly negative reviews due to a lack of content and numerous bugs at launch.

“Graphics look like something from 2005; I'm pretty sure Battlefield 2 looked better.”
“The graphics of The Culling 2 are worse compared to its predecessor.”

The gameplay of the sequel has been widely criticized for its poor execution, lack of originality, and unpolished mechanics, leading many to label it as a disappointing clone of other battle royale games like PUBG and H1Z1. While some players appreciate certain mechanics and the introduction of helicopters, the overall experience is marred by bad graphics and a departure from the unique features that made the original game enjoyable. Many reviewers express that the gameplay feels stiff and lacks the depth and engagement expected from a modern battle royale title.
“The lore is deep and with cutting edge gameplay to boot.”
“The fact that there are multiple helicopters is really cool and a fun twist on conventional battle royale mechanics.”
“Did you like the skill-based gameplay which awarded savagery and punished meekness?”
“Gameplay is stiff, unpolished, and a blatant ripoff of PUBG and Fortnite.”
“No, the reason that The Culling 2 is a failure of a game in 2018 is due to the poor execution of the mechanics put into place.”
“Also, the whole city battle royale is terrible; the forest and bunker island from the original were cool, but parachutes are just annoying, the graphics are bad, and the general gameplay feels dodgy.”

The monetization aspect of the game has been widely criticized as a blatant cash grab, with reviewers expressing disappointment over its lack of originality and quality. Many feel that the game exploits the nostalgia of the original while failing to deliver a polished experience, relying heavily on ads and minimal new content. Overall, players advise against supporting the developers, viewing the game as a desperate attempt to profit from a saturated market.
“Thankfully, there are no loot box microtransactions (yet).”
“All in all this game is a cash grab and do not buy!”
“This is an obvious cash grab from the publishers milking out an already dehydrated cow.”
“I was somewhat excited to find out what this game was going to be like, because I loved the original...this turned out to be nothing but a cash grab. They tried utilizing the love of guns and lack of melee which was the original draw to this game. They didn't even make new cosmetics except beards, and just imported them from the first Culling and not even all of them. Melee is strong but it's not the same...guns feel like trash and movement and animations are poor. This was them grabbing what money they could before they finally went under. Do not...I repeat do not support Xaviant, they're liars and thieves, and they deserve nothing.”
