Spider-Man: Edge of Time

The best a Spider Man game can be without ruining the experience, apart from few camera and mechanical faux pas.
"Spider-Man: Edge of Time" features both the classic "Amazing" Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099, who must work together to stop a new villain, Walker Sloan, from rebuilding the past in his image. The game is a follow-up to "Shattered Dimensions" and is a time-travel adventure with gameplay evenly split between both Spider-Men, as they encounter changes that affect each other's timelines. The storyline primarily follows Spider-Man 2099, who is aware of the events as they unfold.

Spiderman Edge of Time might not be considered the best of it’s series, however gamers should feel an overall sense of enjoyment over the usual bounce-around combat and web-swinging, as well as an interesting storyline. After all, who doesn’t love a story with time traveling?

After Beenox impressed with Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions, I think I just expected more from Edge of Time. The monotony of the game really stands out, even in it’s fairly short campaign. If Shattered Dimensions was two steps forward, Edge of Time was three steps back.
