However, some players felt that while the graphics are impressive, the overall game flow and movement could feel clunky, detracting from the immersion.

    • “The graphics are gorgeous and it runs as smooth as butter.”
    • “This is a very detailed and beautiful game, the amount of effort put into the visuals alone makes this flipping awesome.”
    • “Brilliant graphics, brilliant atmosphere, brilliant weapon and class upgrades.”
    • “I felt like I was playing a Google Play phone FPS app game, with major enhanced graphics.”
    • “If you want KF1 with better graphics and a more dark look, this game is okay.”
    • “The graphics don't bother me as much as the entire vibe.”
  • gameplay
    17 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

Gameplay reviews highlight a mix of frustration and enjoyment; many players find the pacing slow and unresponsive, with weapon handling feeling lackluster, particularly with shotguns. While some appreciate the solid mechanics and intense graphics, others criticize the tedious upgrade system and console-like aiming, leading to a repetitive experience reminiscent of previous titles. Overall, the game offers enjoyable moments with its variety of weapons and perks, but suffers from pacing issues and a lack of fluidity in combat.

    • “Game mechanics and weapon handling are solid.”
    • “The gameplay and graphics are very good.”
    • “Many weapon choices and perks which makes a big difference on the gameplay.”
    • “Even if the scare effect is a bit better than KF, the gameplay is really slow and boring after a while.”
    • “If you go by that gameplay, the game is shockingly bad.”
    • “Gameplay is slower than Killing Floor 1 with more realistic looks.”
  • music
    13 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The music in the game receives mixed reviews, with some players finding it heavy and fitting for the game's atmosphere, while others criticize it as uninspired or poorly executed. While a few users appreciate the soundtrack for enhancing the overall experience, others express a desire for different musical themes, indicating that the music may not resonate with all players. Overall, the soundtrack is seen as a polarizing element, with both positive and negative opinions.

    • “Last but not least, the music theme and sounds are excellent.”
    • “Cool soundtrack!”
    • “Music is great and matches the ambiance of the game.”
    • “The soundtrack is garbage.”
    • “The music ruins the vibe, but I guess some people like demons and rock.”
    • “If I want metal, I'll go listen to the Doom soundtrack.”
  • story
    11 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The game's story aspect is largely criticized for its absence, with many reviewers noting that it lacks depth and narrative context, making the gameplay feel shallow and repetitive. While some players appreciate the fast-paced action of shooting waves of enemies, they express a desire for a more engaging story mode to enhance the experience. Overall, those seeking a rich narrative will likely be disappointed, as the game primarily focuses on combat without a compelling storyline.

    • “Storyline would make the game better!”
    • “Very limited from what I've played, it's an arena-style shooting game that definitely takes inspiration from Doom. It doesn't match it though, but with further development, I think this could be a good game. Introduce a story mode or something with a bit of depth; it just seems very shallow.”
    • “Yes, there is not much of a story, but how can there be when everything died and only demons remain.”
    • “The dark and fog would be okay if this was a story-driven game that builds suspense, but it's straight-up FPS waves of enemies, so you end up running into some object you can't see and get killed.”
    • “Well, there is no story mode, but if you are looking for a game where you only want to kill zombies and demon creatures infinitely, then this game is for you.”
    • “Lack of story or reason for why I am shooting the demons. I mean, yeah, it's demons, let's shoot some demons. Doom didn't have much of a story, but this has none.”
  • grinding
    6 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

Players have mixed feelings about the grinding aspect of the game; while some appreciate the motivation to earn XP and in-game currency for upgrades, others find the repetitive nature of grinding for levels tedious and unengaging. The lack of enemy variety and the slow progression can lead to a stale experience, prompting some to seek refunds. Overall, the grind is seen as a necessary but often frustrating part of the gameplay.

    • “Grinding for levels (first weapon is at level 3 and you start at 0, not even level 1) is not fun. If I wanted to grind, I'd play Destiny or Halo Reach.”
    • “After an hour of grinding the same map with so few enemies appearing, the experience got incredibly stale and I inevitably put in for a refund.”
    • “Just pointless grinding.”
  • atmosphere
    5 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The atmosphere is consistently praised for its dark and immersive qualities, creating a thick, engaging environment that enhances the overall experience. While the graphics and environmental design are highlighted as brilliant, some reviewers suggest that improvements in sound design could further elevate the atmosphere. The combination of foggy settings and eerie elements effectively contributes to a sense of dread and exploration.

    • “The dark, dank environment is thick with atmosphere, and this atmosphere is smeared liberally all over your screen.”
    • “Brilliant graphics, brilliant atmosphere, brilliant weapon and class upgrades.”
    • “The environment was awesome; in the tomb, the dull and foggy atmosphere made it a great place to get lost and scared when you see one of those massive creatures.”
    • “Some improvements to sound design could help this (and maybe not quite so much atmosphere).”
  • stability
    3 mentions Positive Neutral Negative

The game's stability has been criticized for frequent lag spikes, crashes, and various bugs, indicating a need for significant improvements in performance and reliability.
