The gameplay is characterized by a mix of basic mechanics and upgradable systems, offering a nostalgic experience reminiscent of 1990s DOS games. While some players find it enjoyable and easy to complete, others criticize it for being monotonous and lacking depth, with limited save options. Overall, the game provides a blend of simple yet challenging elements, appealing to those who appreciate retro-style gameplay.
“The gameplay becomes challenging very soon; there are swarms of enemy ships and bullets all over the screen, and you have to try to dodge between the bullets while maximizing your own firepower.”
“A great fun game; looks-wise, it's pretty bland, however, the gameplay is well done.”
“This game is utterly a mixture of retrospective gameplay, not-refreshing skill sets, monotonous objectives, and surprisingly, cyberpunk color design.”
“There are no hidden surprises and the mechanics are simple.”
“The gameplay itself is a throwback to 1990s DOS euro-shmups games more than any hardcore Japanese-style 'bullet hell'.”

Overall, the game has low replayability, primarily due to its short length and the fact that achievements can be unlocked in a single playthrough. While some players find enjoyment in replaying for arcade-style fun, the limited save options and lack of additional content diminish the incentive to replay.
“Old style... was great to play while listening to Howard Stern. After the end of the 4-hour show, I beat the game and it doesn't go any farther; it resets and you start over at the beginning. It gives 1 save slot, so if anyone ever clicks 'new game', you will lose your last game save. Or if they beat it, it would go back to no save file and only the new game option. That kinda sucks, but I enjoyed this gameplay and I feel it has replay value. It was even better value for 49 cents on sale. Another easy completed game with full achievements fast.”
“There is replay value, from an arcade/blasting standpoint, but the achievements are all realized via a single playthrough.”
“No replay value - the achievements can be obtained by finishing the game once.”

The game suffers from significant stability issues, including numerous bugs and problematic controls that hinder gameplay. Users report that the game does not allow for seamless switching between mouse and keyboard and USB controller, leading to frustrating experiences. Overall, the lack of reliable input options detracts from the overall enjoyment.
“It's buggy, the controls are a mess. If I don't have the USB controller plugged in, the game doesn't let me use the mouse and keyboard. If I try to use the USB controller, then the game doesn't allow me to shoot with the controller itself, and I have to do this with the left button of the mouse.”
