Planet of the Eyes
I love Planet of the Eyes. It’s a short game, but a perfect adventure that comes with a smart sci-fi story. The looks of the game are a beautiful homage to sci-fi comics and work really well in this platform extravaganza, all while a masterclass in sound and a brilliant voiceover help make a great game. Yes there’s nothing new here to crow about, and yes you’ve played similar platformers, but it’s the journey that counts and I would follow this robot to the end of the universe.

The story in "Planet of the Eyes" is generally described as simple and conveyed primarily through audio logs and environmental storytelling, which some players found engaging while others considered it shallow and lacking depth. Many reviews highlight the emotional undertones and charming visuals, but note that the narrative feels stretched and not particularly groundbreaking. Overall, while the story adds a layer of atmosphere to the gameplay, it may not satisfy those seeking a more profound or intricate plot.
“The story, told through audio logs from the robot’s creator, has a personal, almost melancholy feel to it, adding a nice emotional layer to your exploration.”
“Planet of the Eyes is a short but well-polished game that tells the story of a 'wide-eyed' robot that crash lands on a mysterious planet.”
“The story is sparse but well told and feels complete, and does a good job of tying the character to the world and driving things forward.”
“A story or incentive to play this game are nonexistent.”
“The story is very stretched out throughout the game and very, very, very shallow.”
